Hi, my name is Frank Wang and I am currently a senior a Liberty High School. I am part of the Independent Study Mentorship program at our school and my field of study is optometry. I created this blog to keep track of my progress and detail my ISM journey.
Mission Statement
My mission in life is
to use the knowledge and skills that I gain to help others. While I one day
want to become a doctor, I want even more to become a caring, responsible, and attentive
person – someone who you would trust your life with. I know I will only be able
to accomplish my goals by working hard in ISM to better my communication skills
and expand my knowledge of medicine. Ultimately, I want to make a lasting
contribution to the medical field, and it is my dream to one day find a cure to
a disease or develop a product that helps people see better.

This quote appeals to me as it emphasizes how important it is to pursue your dreams and take risks in life. Even though we only live once, if we are active and seek out opportunities, then one lifetime is enough to accomplish our goals. I will carry this same attitude with me in ISM and take risks/do things that may be outside of my comfort zone, knowing that if I never take these risks, then no amount of lifetimes will be enough to accomplish my goals.
